Light on the Horizon Collection
I started painting these ocean originals during the COVID-19 pandemic. I found the movement and flow of creating these artworks to be soothing and relaxing, and it’s my hope that these feelings can also be experienced by the viewer.
In my mind, each painting has the sense of there having been stormy weather which is beginning to clear.

My eye is drawn to the beautiful horizon on each piece, and it encourages me to think of days ahead and times that I’m looking forward to. Watching the sun rise or set on the horizon has never failed to lift my spirits, and I’m reminded of the phrase “this too shall pass”. Each of these unique artworks represents hope for the future, as well as finding calm within the present moment. I hope you like them!
The Light on the Horizon collection is a series of ocean seascapes which were created using the unique fluidity and sense of water movement that comes from painting with alcohol inks. Each artwork has a beautiful thin strip of gold, silver, or rose gold leaf along the horizon – adding a sense of luxury to these pieces. There are both paintings on paper, as well as paintings coated with a resin finish available in this collection, in a variety of sizes.
Each painting is personally signed with my initials, both on the front and the back.
